Some oldie drama theme songs.

May 9, 2008

I didn’t know this drama is airing on Channel 8 at 11am.

I remember Nathaniel Tan once sang this song on Project Superstar when the contestants were required to sing those old drama theme songs.

Nathaniel Tan. Should be enjoying himself in NTU. Maybe he has forgotten this friend of his.

Here’s 出人头地.

And as I was browsing through Youtube, I found somemore old drama theme songs.

Seriously. Compare the standard of the past dramas to now.

No doubt the video quality was lousy last time, but the plots were power. Just take a look at the dramas now.

No wonder people are turning to Hong Kong dramas.

Anyway, here’s a few classic dramas. Don’t know you guys have seen Crime and Passion before or not.

As for the rest. I think you guys will know which drama they are.

If you don’t know, I think you can quit watching TV.

Seems like Edmund Chen and Chew Chor Meng are really seasoned actors in Mediacorp.

I didn’t know this makes him think so hard.

You know that phrase that appears in my blog header.

The English one. Not the one in Chinese.

And the one in Chinese. Anyone can tell that it is from the movie 不能说的秘密.

And anyone who watched the movie can tell it is the phrase that 陆小雨 wrote for 叶湘伦 which 叶湘伦’s dad (Anthony Wong) happened to see when he was flipping through that music score.

Back to the English phrase.

If I suffer alone and she will be happier, I am willing to suffer this fate again and again.

This phrase made Zi Cheng think and think and think and think whenever I signed in to msn.

And finally, he spoke to me regarding this sentence which made him think so much.

I was actually impressed with what he’s come up with.

Mostly rebuttals of this sentence.

One sentence. Yet so many thoughts.

He read this one sentence. He returned me an essay.

Refer to all his previous comments in my blog and you’ll know. This time he decided to comment to me via msn and not on blog.

But still, it comes in essay chunks. Just imagine reading essay on msn.

Hmm.

Some pointers for me to ponder on.

But still, nothing will change.

Yes. Most people don’t understand. I’ve tried to explain but maybe they didn’t really get it.

Maybe only I understand.

But still, nothing will change. My way of thinking will not change.

Maybe it seems too big a price to pay, but still, no change.

From Vaio to Vios.

May 9, 2008

I’m keeping an eye on this laptop.

Of course. Not in pink colour.

I know deep in my heart I want a pink colour Toyota Matrix.

I also know deep in my heart I badly want a pink colour Lamborghini.

But to want to have a pink colour car is good enough. I don’t want everything to be pink.

Life must be full of colours. Not just one colour.

Look! I have raised eyebrows already. People are wondering why a guy would want a pink colour car.

Got problem ah?

Jay Chou has a pink piano too. Kavin Aw has a pink t-shirt too.

Look at Ah-cha-win (wrong spelling)! He has everything in pink.

But that guy is a special case. Don’t compare me to him. I go for girls. Not guys. I’m straight. Everyone knows that.

By the way, Ah-cha-win is Hoa’s roommate. Yes. Our 04S12 Hoa. His roommate. The Thai guy who was in JJC for 1st 3 months. Rumoured to have gone back to Thailand for sex-change operation.

So I’m setting my sights on a blue Sony Vaio VGN-CR35G.

Of course, I’m opened to other more zai laptops that falls within my budget.

If nothing better comes along, I think this is good enough for me.

Then after laptop comes a pink Toyota Matrix.

But then hor. I predict it’ll be too expensive for me to afford when it comes out next year.

So any japalang Toyota Vios will do.

I think Toyota Vios doesn’t look nice in pink.

In this case, I’ll go for a silver Vios.

Vaio and Vios.

Kind of rhymes.

Vios. Let’s just see how in 2 years’ time.

As for Vaio. I’ll see you next month. I’ll use you next month.

And FIFA 2009 and Football Mananger 2009 are to be included.

Edit @ 12.58am, 9 May 2008:

Wah Upthrust girl. My focus was on laptop.

But cars.

Yeah. Your first car you thinking of getting a zai one. It is a bit too much lah. Somemore you want to get a 1st hand car right?

For me, believe it or not. I’m looking at those 2nd hand and 3rd hand cars. Those SCQ plates cars or somewhere along that line.

At one point of time, I actually considered those $10k cars. Those oldie Toyota Corona.

Looks cool.

But I guess to get those type of cars is as good as going to car servicing every week. So no point lah huh.

If I can really afford it, I would want a 1st hand Toyota Vios. But of course, if I can save up to $10k within my 3-year stay in SIM, why not that oldie Toyota Corona?

After all, I still see lots of them running on the roads now.

I still don’t see save-$10k-in-3-years idea visible.

So I think I’ll have to wait somemore. Till that time, a 2nd hand Vios is more visible when I start working after university.

Let’s just see how. After all, saving up is a virtue. Even if I can’t save $10k in 3 years, I’m sure I can do something with whatever amount I saved.

On a brighter side, not enough money never mind. But you know you are one step closer to getting a car.

Seriously. At least that Kangoo of yours is still there for you, although you have to mark a spot on the steering wheel in order to know where to press for the horn to be effective.

For me. My bicycle.

If that Kangoo can’t satisfy you, can rent car once in a while.

That is what I’m planning to do during SIM. Maybe one month one time or 2 months one time.

I think it’s a good idea.

Now. Laptop is more important. That is what I’m working for.

Edit @ 6.47pm, 9 May 2008:

Yes Miss Lim. I also agree with Kavin. Somemore I don’t really trust those 10-year-old cars.

I scared later I drive halfway, aircon spoil, engine spoil.

Engine spoil not too bad.

Imagine the steering wheel comes out when you turn while driving.

Imagine one of the wheels fly out and hit the traffic police while you are speeding.

Lagi worse.

Anyway, if I were getting a 2nd hand car, I will consider those 5 years and below. Those 5 years and above can forget it.

Means if I’m getting a 2nd hand car now, I’ll go for those SF plates.

Save $10k in 3 years? See who reach first?

Of course you will reach first lah. You’ll already be working by then, I still stuck in SIM you know.

But never mind. I pray to strike Toto one day.

Edit @ 6.16pm, 10 May 2008:

I don’t really care about the cost of a car. $10k is the bare minimum.

Save first. Talk later.

At least you know $10k will prove useful in your quest in getting a car.

But right now, I already have problems in getting a Sony Vaio, not to say a Toyota Vios.
